UK Family Fun On Tour | Mini Travellers

It's Friday which can only mean one thing - time for #UKFamilyFunOnTour. Today we drop by Karen from Mini Travellers. Mini Travellers is an award-winning family travel blog covering lots of family-friendly adventures in the UK and abroad. Over to Karen:-

Mini Travellers recommend their top places to visit and stay in the UK with #UKFamilyFunOnTour

1 - Which UK town or city has your heart?
I'd have to say Liverpool I think. My top three places to visit are Albert Dock, the World Museum and Walker Art Gallery (check out Mini Travellers' review of the Albert Dock here).

2 - Which UK beach is your favourite? Why do you love it so much?
I have two, is that cheating? West Kirby beach as so close to home and Morfa Nefyn

3 - Which theme park/zoo/attraction in the UK would you recommend as somewhere everyone must visit and why?
As a family we love Thomas Land at Drayton Manor, it has been perfectly located for meeting up with family as in the Midlands and perfect sized rides for the age of the kids.

4 - Where was your favourite place in the UK to visit as a child?
We went all over as kids but I very fond memories of Sandy Bay in Devon (now Devon Cliffs I understand) basic family fun with loads of other kids, fab beaches, lots of rain thrown in for good measure, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm! Rock, chips and ice cream too!

5 - Do you have any UK breaks planned in the next 12 months?
We are hopefully visiting Cornwall just after New Year, followed by a camper van trip at February Half Term.

6 - Where is on your UK travel bucket list?
Canterbury, Stonehenge, Cornwall (not been forever!)

7 - Share with us a hidden gem in the UK and let us know why it’s so special
The Wirral Pennisular is a hidden gem, I had no idea about it until we moved here 7 years ago. There is so much to do, some fabulous beaches, and even if it is raining in Liverpool it can be sun shining on the Wirral. It has its own micro climate!

8 - Can you recommend a UK holiday resort, hotel or accommodation for families and let us know why it stands out for you
I haven't yet been but I read sooo much about Coombe Mill as holiday accommodation that I really have to visit soon. It stands out for me as quite simply everyone recommends it and that has to make it stand out!

Thanks Karen - We can't recommend Stonehenge enough, you will love it! You can follow the adventures of Mini Travellers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
